Blind Veterans UK Brighton centre awarded ‘excellence’ in care services

At Blind Veterans UK we pride ourselves on being a quality welfare organisation and after recently being awarded a status of excellence for our nursing care services at our Brighton centre, we couldn’t be more thrilled.

The review was compiled by Brighton & Hove City Council and NHS Brighton & Hove, who regularly review the quality of care homes within the city.

Our Brighton centre is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) which is an independent organisation that measures care services against essential standards of safety and quality. As our Brighton centre combines care services with nursing it also underwent a report which was compiled by the Clinical Quality Review Nurse (CQRN).

The CQRN has the option of awarding a star rating and we are delighted to have been awarded the maximum three star rating which represents a standard of excellence. The CQRN met with various members of staff and visitors at our Brighton centre, so the rating is a strong reflection on all members of our team located at the Brighton centre.

Congratulations to everyone at the Blind Veterans UK Brighton centre on this fantastic achievement!
