      Dear Miss Freeman,

My name is Hayley Phillips and I am one of two visual artists within Cathouse Theatre Company. Cathouse is made up of ten third year Community and Applied Performance students, situated within Birmingham School of Acting.

In January 2013, Cathouse Theatre Company is embarking in their newest project. The I.dentity Project. We aim as a company to deliver a series of arts based workshops to Blind and Visually Impaired adults within Birminghamand Sandwell over a 12 week period. The project will culminate in a final art installation which will be open to the participants friends and family and the general public.

Whilst researching other arts projects within this field, I came across some of your work on the Blind Veterans UK website and I was wondering if you would be able to offer us some advice on both creating and facilitating these workshops?

Although we, as a company have some experience of working with the Blind and Visually Impaired this is somewhat limited and our main priority is, of course, to ensure that all of our participants have a positive experience.

Any advice you could give Cathouse would be both valuable and greatly appreciated. If you would like to know more about The I.dentity Project please find us on Facebook or Twitter @Cathouse

      Thank you for your time.

      Kind Regards,
      Hayley Phillips
